LEDs are totally efficient. Meaning that they use much less energy to run compared to incandescent or halogen bulbs. Of course, less energy consumption means lower electricity bills. Saving the average homeowner 80% off their electrical bill when they switch to LED.
Let’s say for example your home uses 20 regular 50 watt halogen bulbs. If you replaced these with 20 of our highly efficient 4 watt LED bulbs, that would save you around *£174.62 each year. So, you can keep seeing savings long term.
By operating at a much lower voltage, LEDs are also incredibly safe to use compared to other lighting.
*Based on 4 hours use per day with electricity costs of 13p/kw.
ENJOY INSTANT QUALITY LIGHT
No waiting around for your light to reach full brightness. Unlike compact fluorescent energy saving bulbs, LEDs don’t need time to warm up. They work at full capacity as soon as you flick the switch.
No flicker, no noise. LEDs provide constant light without making distracting humming sounds.
Many LEDs are dimmable. So, you can team them with a dimmer switch to control the brightness.
EASILY REPLACE EXISTING BULBS
Replacing your lighting with new LED bulbs could not be easier. All our LEDs are retrofit so will fit directly into your existing light fittings. No need to call the electrician.
With our fantastic selection of bulbs and spotlights in a choice of colour temperatures, you’ll easily find the perfect replacement for your existing bulbs.
PROTECT OUR PLANET
More light, less energy, no heat. LEDs have a European energy rating of A or above, with A++ being the most efficient. Helping to cut carbon emissions, save natural resources and protect the environment. And no waste heat means no thermal pollution. This also means that LEDs are cool to touch, safer to use and don’t damage or discolour your fittings.
LEDs contain no hazardous materials or pollutants like lead or mercury, which can be harmful to the environment. Made with 100% recyclable materials. LEDs can help to reduce landfill waste where hazardous substances can cause harmful water, soil or air contamination for wildlife and our own health.
LEDs project light at a specific beam angle without a reflector or diffuser, which usually trap and waste more than half of the light produced. Making LEDs far more efficient for every fitting. Particularly recessed downlights or task lighting where the direction of the beam angle is important.
SEE COLOURS CLEARLY
LEDs offer an excellent colour rendering index, CRI. The CRI rating is measured compared to natural daylight, with a maximum ideal value of 100. With a good CRI rating of 80 and above like LED, the light can reproduce colours realistically. This quality of light is important for photography studios and showrooms, to accurately present products without the colours appearing dull or washed out. But it is also important around the home to get the colours of your furnishings, décor and your own appearance just right!
Increased Durability & Lifespan
Made from aluminium and plastic, LEDs are much more robust than regular glass bulbs. Alongside their durable build, LEDs also produce light for up to 50,000 hours. Compared to standard bulbs that will last only 2000 hours maximum.
